Parking lot has alligator cracks and water has been pooling. Recommend demo asphalt and remove 4 inches of base. Install 4 inches of new base and compact. Install 4 inches of asphalt

Scope of work install 25 Ton overlay to address trip hazards and pooling. R&R sections that are loose, add and compact base.

“it’s better to have 6 inches of base and 4 inches of asphalt then to have 6 inches of asphalt and 4 inches of base.” The most important thing is to start with a good base, compact every two inches. Once asphalt has started to alligator there is a good chance that the base has been compromised, and the only thing to do is R&R the area.
